I’m proud to share that I’ve just completed my largest mural project to date, working in collaboration with Thomas Wolsey 550 from September 2024 to June 2025. This incredible journey saw me visiting over 16 primary schools across Ipswich, where I had the privilege of leading workshops and co-creating more than 7 large-scale murals with hundreds of children, from Year 2 all the way up to Year 6.
This project was all about collaboration, creativity, and community. Each mural was a true co-creation, shaped by the ideas and imagination of the children. From the very beginning, students were involved in the design process—contributing themes, visual concepts, and colour choices. Every child was also given the chance to paint directly onto the mural, making their mark and becoming part of a lasting piece of art at their school.
While the scale and coordination of this project were certainly challenging, it was an incredible opportunity to grow and refine my practice as a mural artist. Guiding young people through the artistic process—while still producing vibrant, high-quality, and meaningful artwork—has been both a learning experience and a joy. Each mural now stands as a visible legacy of the children’s creativity and pride, brightening school spaces and reflecting the spirit of their communities.
It’s been a true honour to work so closely with my local community in Ipswich, and I’m so grateful for the trust and enthusiasm shown by the students, teachers, and staff along the way.
A heartfelt thank you to Thomas Wolsey 550 for making this all possible and for championing creativity, collaboration, and cultural enrichment across our schools.
